| Types of work visa and work permit in Israel | | Hits：1153 AddTime：2014/7/30 8:13:51 | Except for visa free countries, all foreigners are required to hold valid visa before entering Israel. Foreign citizens may enter Israel with transit visa, visiting visa, temporary residence visa or permanent residence visa. Citizens of some countries can sign off.
1、 Israeli transit visa: only for transit, valid for 5 days, can be extended for 10 days, up to 15 days.
2、 Israeli visit visa, including:
The B1 visa is issued to foreigners who want to work in Israel for a short time and receive remuneration.
B2 visa, issued to foreigners who wish to visit Israel and do not engage in any work with or without remuneration, is a typical tourist visa.
B3 visa, issued to foreigners with unknown purpose, valid for 1 month.
B4 visa, issued to foreigners engaged in unpaid voluntary work in Israel.
In general, except for B1 and B3 visa, the validity period of all visit visa is not more than 90 days, and can be extended for another two years, and the longest is no more than 27 months.
To apply for a visit visa, you only need to fill in the application form and pay a small fee. No other documents are required. Visit visa can be applied to the Israeli Consular Department or special department of the Israeli Ministry of industry and trade. Group application is required for transit visa and visit visa. B1 and B4 visa should be applied for by the employer.
3、 Work permit in Israel: only foreigners with permanent right of abode, temporary residence, B1 or B4 visa can work in Israel. Applicants who apply for temporary residency due to work need to provide the following information:
Recommended by the Ministry of industry and trade of Israel
Effective medical insurance for employees
Employment contract
A security deposit paid by the employer to ensure that the employee leaves the country upon expiration
Accurate personal information of the employee, including passport number
Employee social security record certificate
A letter from the employer or other Israeli body proving the necessity of the employee
Affidavit proving the authenticity of the above materials
A B1 visa can also be issued to foreign applicants participating in business activities in Israel on a case by case basis. In addition to the above materials, employers and employees are required to provide medical certificates, residence certificates, etc.
The cost of applying for a B1 visa is about $1100.
4、 Residence visa for Israel:
（1） Temporary residence visa can be divided into the following categories
A1 visa: issued to foreign Jews intending to acquire Israeli nationality, valid for 3 years.
A2 visa: issued to foreign students.
Visa A3: issued to foreign clergy invited by religious groups in Israel. The religious group is responsible for making visa applications.
A4 visa: issued to spouse of A2 or A3 visa holder or children under 18 years old. A5 visa: issued to foreigners who want to stay in Israel except for the above reasons.
（2） There is no limit on the duration of a permanent residence visa. The Ministry of the interior will accept the visa on a case by case basis. Applicants may have to hold a temporary residence visa for several years before obtaining the visa.
The spouse or children of a B1 visa holder can obtain a B2 visa, which is valid for the same period.
Foreign visitors with a valid foreign driver's license or international driver's license can legally drive for 12 months during each visit. Those over 12 months are required to take a driver's license test and obtain an Israeli driver's license.
