WP is a work permit set up by the human resources department for foreign low-level employees.
Application requirements: no salary and education requirements;
Age requirements: Malaysian (18-58 years old), non Malaysian (18-50 years old);
Quota of company head: the quota of WP for service industry in the company shall not exceed 8% (there is one WP quota for 12 ordinary local talents, and one WP quota can be exchanged for one local person in special industry);
Requirements for the company: it is required to purchase insurance with an amount of at least s $15000 and pay a guarantee of S $5000
Family pass (DP): unable to apply.
Whether to apply for green card (PR): it is not possible to apply directly, but it can be used as a supplementary application.
S pass technical permit (SP)
SP is the work permit provided by the Ministry of human resources for foreign employees with intermediate technical level.
Salary: from S $2200;
Education background: junior college, bachelor degree, or technical qualification certificate (technical certification requiring at least one year full-time study);
Working experience: Although there is no explicit stipulation on the minimum number of years of work experience, it will be used as an audit standard;
No more than 20% of employees in other industries. Family pass (DP): salary up to S $4000, can be applied for spouse and children under 21.
Green card (PR): can be applied directly. You can also apply with your family.
Employment pass (EP)
EP is the work permit provided by the human resources department for foreign professionals (management, supervisor or professional position). It is the highest level of work permit.
Salary: from S $3300, at least s $4000 to apply for family pass;
Education background: since March 1, 2104, there is no special requirement for education. Young applicants are required to have a diploma from an excellent institution and have an employment salary of 3300. Older applicants must have a higher salary and the corresponding work experience and quality.
Family pass (DP): family pass can be applied for above 4000 salary, ltvp can be applied for above 8000 salary
Green card (PR): can be applied directly. You can also apply with your family.
Dependent pass family pass (DP)
People under the age of 21 can apply for a work permit in Singapore. Children with family pass can enter primary and secondary schools of Singapore government directly.
Salary: the guarantor's salary should be more than S $4000.
Education: no education requirement.
Job: EP or family members of entrepreneurial permit can apply to HR department for LOC through the company. After approval, they can work directly (without occupying company quota). SP family card, you need to apply for work permit before you can work.
Whether to apply for green card (PR): it is not possible to apply directly, but can be applied together as a guarantor.
Long term visit pass (ltvp)
Common types of long-term Visit Permit:
1. Family members or parents of citizens or green card (PR)
2. 5-year long-term visit permit applied for before March 1, 2013.
3. Graduates from Singapore government universities, polytechnics and some private schools.
4. Parents who have met the requirements of EP or Entrepass.
5. Others (e.g. new performing arts, new job training, accompanying students, etc.)
Job: ltvp + (usually family members of citizens), with "+" long-term Visit Permit, can directly apply to HR department for LOC through the company, and work directly. Most of the others need to apply for a work permit before they can work. However, there are some special privileges on the quota of applying for permit.
Whether to apply for green card (PR): it is not possible to apply directly, but can be applied together as a guarantor.
